Creating meaningful art, mat cutting and framing
SESSION 1: Saturday, December 2nd 9:30-4:00
SESSION 2: Saturday, January 20th 9:30-4:00
This one-day workshop is designed for anyone wishing to learn more about creating meaningful art and how to mat and frame his/her two dimensional artwork for presentation. Ron will draw upon his long career in photography by engaging participants in an exercise he created in response to words by Meister Eckhart, the 13th century German theologian and philosopher: “Art is not just for special people but everyone is a special kind of an artist.” After lunch Ron will demonstrate mat cutting and framing. Each workshop member will have a hands-on opportunity to cut several mats. Ron will provide all materials needed for this workshop.
